Constantius I, as Caesar, 293-305. Argenteus (Silver, 18 mm, 3.59 g, 10 h), Carthage, 296-298. CONSTAN-TIVS CAES Laureate head of Constantius I to right. Rev. F ADVEN-T AVGG NN / T Africa standing front, head to left, holding vexillum in her right hand and elephant tusk in her left; at her feet to left, lion recumbent left, head to right, and bucranium. RIC 14a. RSC 33. Very rare and beautifully toned. Very minor die breaks, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
